Saturday, February 5th, Ray went in extra earlier (only 4-5 hours of sleep) so he could get done early and come home and have some kinda' weekend with us. He was out the door after 3am and out at 2pm. Belle and I got up and ran some errands and met dada (as a surprise-since we were in the area) at Disney as he was clocking out :) He was happy and surprised...it was a lousy, rainy and cool day...On the way to Disney, Belle had been feeling off. I knew by the way she was acting that she wasn't feeling well. I realized that after we got to park the car at Disney that there was a unusual smell coming from the back seat. Come to find out, she had gotten sick all over herself. Poor baby...I didn't even put two and two together, as I heard her cough and I was driving, occasionally looking back at her...I saw her face scowl a couple of times and I shrugged it off. I just thought she was being Belle. She makes faces and does things for attention and it wasn't like I could get to her that second. It wasn't until I got her out of the seat, that she had fishy crackers, juice and milk all over her self and the seat. She must have had a sour stomach from her teething. Of course, ALL her teeth are coming in, NOW!...It's really hard on her and she takes it as it comes. Well, carrying on with the story...I had to clean her, the seat and the car a bit and then I proceeded to wipe her off and cool her down. You will notice that the pictures posted are of her in the front seat of the car, with my shall on over her as I didn't have a shirt for her to change into. It figures too, usually I am so over prepared for things like that as you never know? right?!...After she was clean and in the front seat, she was happy and it seemed her attitude was better.
We went back home and I managed to refresh, clean, change a poop diaper and cloth her and we were then off to dinner for the evening and a stroll to Target for some things...it's our weekend events (or, so it seems lately)...We went to Logan's roadhouse (we love their Crispy Chicken salad and warm yeast rolls), Belle ate well too. She's a dada's girl- loving bread!! yummmmmm...After we got back from Target, it was getting late, rainy and we all were beat after having a busy day...
On another note, I have gotten a lot done with Spring cleaning the inside of the house. I feel accomplished. It's been waiting to get done since Belle was an infant. It's only now that I can finally get things done, as she can run around and entertain herself :) Reminds me of the song by Kelly Clarkson, "Miss Independent"...Can I say, she is, "little Miss independence"!
Belle never got a nap and was overly tired with bags under her eyes, so by the time we got back, dada took her up to bed and he also laid down. I got some time to myself to get some things done...
A few hours later, Ray woke up and Belle stayed asleep through the night, we watched, Despicable Me-which is so great!! That is one that kids will love too (6+ years), there were parts in there that I thought may scare kids, but it was an overall, entertaining movie :) We made some chips and dip and pretzels and chocolate to go along with our movie. Ray and I had some much needed time for us. It was a great date night :)
Sunday, January 6th, we all woke up late. Heck, it's Ray's only day off and we all were bushed. After, our brunch (Silipino Skillet meal-recipe in blog below), we got out and gave the dogs and us a much needed walk. We took the dogs to the dog park in our subdivision and let them run and play. Belle and dada were at the playground for a bit before they wandered over to the dog park. Brenn and Reese, 'lived it up"...Belle had a wonderful time too. When we got back home, the dogs were bushed and pretty much didn't leave their areas of the furniture until dinner time :) I went upstairs and gave Belle and her dada some time together. He watched her as I went up stairs to work on Belle's room. She needed room for her play toys and clothes (as we are running outa' drawer space), laundry, garbage, and vacuuming upstairs got done too :) Less things to do during the week with trying to watch Belle too. It's nice to feel accomplished and I think the last two weeks, I've had spring fever. We ended the night with dinner and some time together before Ray had to get to bed and be back up early for work. It was a nice couple days, we've enjoyed them.
!!NEW Belle Info: Placing words together, taking diaper off willingly, helping momma with dish washer and dryer/clothes, helps clean, interested in all things shoes/trying to put them on and take them off, places toys away by herself, notices some colors and pictures and points to them, Says, "E.I.E.I.O" as in McDonald's Farm, can use the buttons on the DVD player by herself-and she knows what she's doing, says, "bye-Bye-Goodnight", bye-bye daddy, etc., when I think of more I will post...We are amazed at her!! :)
