happy new year!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!!

We've had a wonderful day...Belle and I had a liesurly day after running errands in the morning...and Ray got home at normal time to be with us. He's been working overtime everyday so it's nice that he was able to be 'let loose' for the rest of the evening. We enjoyed a nice "New Years Eve" dinner. Tonight I made Cresent Dogs for them both to try. I guess I had never made it for Ray to try before; just under 3 years we've been together and I never cooked it for him, not even once. It is one of the many tasty 'treat-like' snacks my mom used to make for us kids growing up. I think it went over well as they both approved and I didn't see any left overs. I know that Belle loves what we eat. There is no more baby or toddler meals going into her system. She's over that stuff and she'll let me know too...it is quite a sight. Tonight we had an evening stroll in our neighborhood and the dogs appreciated it too :) I made my hubby's favorite: vanilla cupcakes and white cream cheese frosting...I love the smell of baked goods in our home. It's nice to have an evening as special as this to ring in the new year with my hunnies-I hadn't had one ever with my family. This is truly a treat. It is truly these moments that I love the most. We do everything together and can't see it any other way :) I was hoping for Belle to be up for the fireworks over Cinderella's castle tonight (she can see them from her room) but she did not take a nap, hence, early bedtime for her. I know that she has become very tired once she is tripping and stumbling all over the place...She is a snuggly bug in her bed :)

Crescent Dogs Recipe

What you need:
2 Rolls of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
1 Package of Hillshire Farms lil' smokies Turkey links (or you can use sausage links)

Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Unwrap the crescent rolls and cut into individual pieces for each link and twirl around each link
Place in oven for 10-12 minutes
Devour and enjoy!!...It is that easy :)

Belle and her New Years Eve day (pictures below)...she can make it onto the couch and I decided to take some pictures...she was being oftly coy with me. She knows that she isn't supposed to be up on the couch without supervision. She likes to spring off and hop around. I have my eyes on her EVERY moment :)...I even see her in my dreams, attempting to try new things...scary, but she is learning too. She is speaking so well. She loves to repeat what you say and she is saying colors and shapes. She is so amazing to watch. Her thing today was saying: purple, Dora, soda and juice. Anytime now we will be trying the potty chair. She can no longer stand her diapies...She is amazing :)

Belle- momma caught her on the couch by herself :)

silly kid :)

She is trying to let momma know she's okay up on the couch by herself :)

trying to capture the whole crew-almost: Puma, Reese and Belle

  2. ya, it would probably be a great kids meal for them. I used to love hot dogs, rolls and snacks like that (as a kid)...it's a great combination and it's even better as it's quick and easy. Anabelle loved those :) Let me know how they like them :)
    xo..
