So, let me start off with today...I've got another little project I am working on (and will post a pic soon), my in-laws brought down an old grill (two years ago) and it needed some extra T.L.C. so, when Belle and I were out today, I decided to re-paint and decorate it. I was going for a 70's flower power theme using paint, neon glow-in-the-dark pens, glitter, etc., I'm having new ideas as I go along. But, the thought was to have it match in the courtyard once we get the new sod, mulch and flowers, etc, growing...Belle was much enthused and helped me :) I am also planning Belle's second party, but it's going to be a last minute invite as it all depends on when we leave for vacation and when we actually plan her party...but, I have come up with ideas. Much like last year, it will be at the clubhouse-kids room and pool access. I have looked into invitations and made my own. This year's theme will be: DORA THE EXPLORER!!!...so, we shall see just what happens in due time :)
Now for the past two weeks...My in-laws were here from March 10th-14th and we had such a wonderful time. It's hard for them to be so far away from their only grandchild, so, when they can't stand it any longer, they've made the trip down to see Miss Belle. As my father-in-law would tell you, "everyday is a Saturday for us!" She is their world and there is tons of spoiling that goes on when they are here :) This June we hope to be leaving to see them but it also depends on Ray's schedule, hopefully, around little Miss' birthday?!...Well, while they were here we had a morning at Shoney's for breakfast, a night at Golden Corral for dinner and we went to the Strawberry Festival on Saturday, March 12th. Belle loves Dora the Explorer so she also got a blown up doll there, and we bought her a 'Strawberry Jammer" t-shirt to commemorate the event. It was a lovely warm but breezy day. We all got some much need sun, A.K.A. Vitamin D :)
Once they left, I noticed that I was coming down with a cold and for sure that Monday they left, I was sick as a dog for 3 days, with the FLU!!...Belle had just gotten over it before we had company and was clearing up...Then this past week (and as I am writing this) my hubby had taken 2 days off from work as he was very sick. It worried me because her never gets sick, let alone take days off for it. It was pretty bad, he also had the FLU! So I babied him and took care of him (which I love to do-he does so much for us)...He is in the last stages today and was back to work. To top it all off, my uncle Harvey was in the hospital almost a week ago, but was also later released as he was okay to go. He had a minor stroke. So, in the midst of all that has gone on, you now understand why blogging couldn't and wouldn't be done...it wasn't important at that time.
Now everyone is updated and our days are getting back to normal :)
