our weekend

I got a big surprise Friday afternoon as Ray came home shortly after his normal leaving time, only putting in an hour or so overtime. It was nice to see him home and I was anticipating on cherishing Friday night as he was going to have to be turning in again and working another Saturday!!...Turns out, he didn't. Belle and I couldn't be happier. This is the second time in a row...but it also may be the last too. This project he is working with the imagineering team on, HAS to be done and ready come May, which only gives them a little more time to get things done...so, on that note I was, or I should say, we, were more than happy to know we have 2-1/2 days with our man (hehe)...

We had a wonderful evening, just all of us together and a nice home cooked meal: Steak-em's and mac and cheese. Then all of us ended up passing out a few hours later :) zzzzzzz....(Dream land)....we needed it too!

Saturday, Jan. 29th, we ended up sleeping in, Belle didn't even blink an eye until we heard her at 9:30am talking, giggling and singing...Yay! It was wonderful. My lovely husband had the idea of going to breakfast. We got up and had more like a brunch at Shoney's. We really like the breakfast and have ventured there many times, mostly for breakfast or when Ray's parents come to visit. It's a nice place to eat, reasonable prices and wonderful staff :) They know us!! Double winks*-*...I had the idea after that that we needed to really take some time to work on our vehicals, now I don't have to get into many details, but MUCH work and T.L.C. was involved. We ended up going to a few stores and finding some great buys for Belle (spring and summer clothes) as well as car care supplies and got our fill. We came home to place Belle down for a nap and gear up for a day in the warm weather and sun :) It was just gorgeous!! Ray worked on his truck, washing, waxing, buffing...you name it it got done. Belle even had her carseat turned around as so it now faces the front. And anyone knowing Ray, it ALL got done :) You never leave a job half done and I love him for it as I spent most of my day cleaning inside and taking care of Belle. My plan was to help but that NEVER happened. I don't know how that would've worked out with Belle? Ray got done with that and then we had to make a trip to Joe's Pizza and brought us home some dinner, it was so late and we did it because we could :) We all got ready for bed a couple hours later and all PASSED out again :)...

Sunday, Jan. 30th, was just as crazy...we woke up later in the mid-day and headed outside as Ray got it in gear to now work on my car (as he did the day before with his). He detailed my car, inside and out and got this done by mid-afternoon before we hightailed it again to Plant City, FL. We all went for another mini ROAD TRIP and got some more strawberries (they are really sweet this year). We got a flat as so we could treat Ray's co-workers to a day of 'sweetness'. It was thoughtful of Ray and I thought it was a great idea as so I could freeze whatever is left over too :) We love them that much (2 weeks in a row to Plant City)!! We got home to only take care of some business and finished up last night's pizza for dinner. It made a great ending to another busy day. The weather was also great today...I hope it keeps up. Lower 70's with a slight breeze is my kinda' day :) I'll leave with 'busy day' poem and some pictures from our weekend :)

Pray Through a Busy Day

Many different schedules

cloud up every busy day,

we will do much better

if we take the time to pray.

There are days we rush

and hope to make it through,

stress becomes the enemy

when we have lots to do.

Everybody has their limits

and in life we must obey,

some are likely to give up

and forget to kneel and pray.

If you think it will go wrong

and decide that you don't care,

acting as if it's not important

to stop and say a prayer.
